Cop who attended Galle Face demonstration interdicted

A policeman who attended the demonstration at Galle Face has been interdicted.
The Police Media unit said that the Police sergeant attached to the Kuttigala Police Station had not sought approval to leave his post and attend the demonstration.
According to the Police, the decision taken by the Police sergeant to attend the demonstration had discredited the Sri Lanka Police.
He was arrested following the incident and produced in court and granted bail. (Colombo Gazette)
