Turkey seeks to increase trade capacity with Uzbekistan to USD10B
(MENAFN) According to the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan statement released on Tuesday, Turkey and Uzbekistan are aiming for a USD10 billion exchange volume.
Erdogan stated at a news conference together with Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, “our trade volume last year increased by nearly 72 percent to surpass USD3.6 billion.”
He stated, “I believe that we will obtain our USD5 billion target in the shortest span of time – in a year as per our goal. Not making do with that, we will further raise the bar to the level of USD10 billion with the joint steps we will take subsequently.”
He also mentioned, “we have promoted the relations between our countries to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership level as a result of our talks.”
