(MENAFN- Robotics & Automation News) Skyline Robotics unveils 'world's first window-cleaning robot' for New York skyscrapers

Skyline Robotics has launched what it claims is“the world's first high-rise window-cleaning robot”.

The startup has agreed a multi-year partnership with building maintenance company Platinum to deliver Ozmo, its window-cleaning robot, to New York City skyscrapers.

Platinum is the leading building restoration and maintenance service provider in New York City, owning contracts for 65 percent of Class A buildings. Under terms of the partnership, Platinum has exclusive rights to use Ozmo in New York.

Platinum will add Ozmo operations to its existing window cleaning division, Palladium Window Solutions. Skyline Robotics will train the Platinum staff and certify them as Ozmo operators. The Platinum staff will then run the operations of the Ozmo system.

Skyline Robotics is disrupting the $40 billion window cleaning industry by offering a smarter, faster, safer, and more economical alternative to human window washers. Its Ozmo robot combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision with advanced robotics and sensors, including a state-of-the-art robotic arm designed by Kuka, an industrial automation company.
