Israel to attract up to 2,000 builders from Ukraine - embassy

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Israel's government has decided to attract an additional 2,000 builders from Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel has announced on Facebook.

"About 1,250 Ukrainian builders worked in Israel in October 2021. Currently, the Government of the State of Israel has decided to attract an additional 2,000 specialists from Ukraine," the post reads.

The embassy added that in this context, applicants will be tested and selected with the personal participation of Israeli examiners at Kyiv Regional Higher Vocational School of Construction on November 8-11, 2021.

In particular, Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Korniychuk met with Yitzhak Moyal, Chairman of the Israeli Construction and Wood Workers' Union. Both parties got acquainted with the organizational structure of Israeli trade unions and areas of cooperation with Ukrainian trade unions.

A high level of cooperation with Ukrainian partners was noted.

During the conversation, the greatest attention was paid to ensuring the rights and social protection of Ukrainians who have the right to employment in Israel in accordance with the implementation protocol on the temporary employment of Ukrainian workers in certain sectors in the Israeli labor market, signed in 2017.

It was also mutually stated that the existence of clear and transparent rules for attracting labor from Ukraine hinders illegal labor migration to Israel.
