Turkey to offer assistance to Pakistan after 5.9 magnitude earthquake


(MENAFN) Following a 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit Pakistan 's southwest, resulting in more than 20 deaths, the Turkish foreign minister offered assistance to the country.

Mevlut Cavusoglu spoke to Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi and expressed his condolences over the deaths, diplomatic sources reported.

Cavusoglu further declared that Ankara is prepared to offer every kind of help to Islamabad.

The earthquake was positioned about 14 kilometers north-northeast of Harnai in Baluchistan province. The location is about 100 kilometers from Quetta, the provincial capital.
