Turkey to begin engineering 1st local electric train locomotive
(MENAFN) In line with Turkey’s Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey is prepared to begin engineering its first original electric train locomotive in 2022.
Erdogan stated at the 12th Transportation and Communication Week at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul that Turkey’s railway manufacturing developed due to the administration's assets as improving original electric train set and on designing high-speed trains.
He also said "We are about to come to the point where we will produce metro, suburban and tramway."
Furthermore, Erdogan marked Turkey’s beneficial geographical position, and declared Turkey's Istanbul Airport that was opened less than three years ago, is the second amid the world’s best global airports.
