Safadi, German minister talk ties, region


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, discussed on Wednesday with Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office, Niels Annen, means of boosting bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
The two ministers placed emphasis on the need to bolster bilateral cooperation, and deepen both countries' coordination concerning regional issues.
Talks during the meeting tackled the latest updates in the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis, efforts to support Lebanon and Iraq, in addition to regional concerns of combating terrorism through joint action.
Safadi valued Germany's support for Jordan, stressing the importance of the Jordanian-German partnership, and he also highlighted the German role in resolving regional conflicts.
The German minister praised the Jordanian role and the efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah to promote a culture of dialogue and respect for the other to achieve a just and comprehensive peace and establish security and stability in the region.
