Russia to continue exporting wheat to Algeria following 5 years break
(MENAFN) For the first time in over five years, Algeria has permitted Russian grain imports. The first shipment of 30,000 tons of wheat is en route to Algeria.
Another second ship is now being filled in the Black Sea port of Taman, and will soon set sail, stated Russian watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor.
The greatest wheat exporter in the globe has been petitioning right of entry to the Algerian market, and is arranging to send two vessels with an overall of 60,000 tons of wheat this month.
The shipments represent the first key supply of Russian wheat to Algeria since 2016, ruling out a freight of 28,500 tons shipped during June.
