Qatari FM says Doha calls on US, Iran sides to take an effective approach
(MENAFN)In contacts with the US and Iranian governments, Doha is calling on the two sides to make an effective move toward to improving discussions to revitalize the 2015 nuclear deal.
Al-Thani further declared that “We have strong and strategic relations with Washington and good relations with Iran, and we do not want tensions to increase, which will have a negative impact on Qatar and the region.”
There are continuing contacts with the US and Iran, and Qatar supports them to contribute in the negotiations effectively, he also declared.
Talks were held in Vienna within the Joint Commission of the JCPOA to revitalize the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA) in a return of the legally-binding commitments.
