Cabinet of Ministers allocates almost UAH 10M to families of those killed in eastern Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 9.9 million to provide one-time financial assistance to family members of servicemen killed in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine and to people who became disabled due to an injury, concussion or illness received in the ATO.

The government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Vasyl Mokan, wrote about this on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

"The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a draft resolution 'On the allocation of funds for providing one-off financial assistance to the families of those killed (died) during participation in the anti-terrorist operation, and to persons who became disabled due to an injury, concussion, mutilation or illness sustained during the participation in the said operation"," Mokan wrote.

He added that one-time financial assistance will be provided to the families of four people who died during participation in the ATO and nine servicemen who became disabled as a result of an injury, mutilation received during the participation in the ATO. The Ministry of Veterans allocated UAH 9 million 903 thousand from the reserve fund of the state budget to provide one-time financial assistance.

As a reminder, the government regularly makes decisions on the allocation of funds to help the families of those killed in eastern Ukraine and soldiers who became disabled due to an injury, concussion or illness received in the ATO.
