Volvo Cars plan to sell fully electric cars


(MENAFN)According to the multinational automaker, Volvo Cars plans to run fully electric by 2030, and all models are going to be obtainable online.

The automaker further stated that the company plans to vend fully electric cars and phase out any car in its global portfolio with an internal combustion engine, including hybrids

Volvo Cars CEO Hakan Samuelsson also declared that "So instead of investing in a shrinking business, we choose to invest in the future -- electric and online”. "We are fully focused on becoming a leader in the fast-growing premium electric segment."

"There is no long-term future for cars with an internal combustion engine," added the company's chief technology officer Henrik Green.
