(MENAFN) The Israeli military said in a statement that its forces on Sunday killed a Palestinian as he tried to shoot a soldier in a West Bank crossroad.
The accident occurred at the Gush Etzion Junction, a crossroad in a major settlement bloc south of Jerusalem.
For his part, an Israeli military official published a photo where three kitchen knives taped to a cane are shown, supposing that it used for the attack.
Videotape raised on Israeli media showed the suspect dragging an object from his pocket and beginning to run on the way to a fighter before being gunshot and falling to the earth.
The army confirmed that the Palestinian man was "neutralized" and later pronounced dead.
