Syria registers five Covid-19 deaths, 54 cases

AMMAN, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- Syria's Ministry of Health said on Saturday five patients died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 54 people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.
The death toll rose to 916 and total infections to 13,998 since the outbreak of the pandemic, Syrian Arab News Agency (SUNA) reported, citing the ministry.
As many as 75 people recovered from the disease, taking the total to 7,481, it noted. (end)
