Kuwait hands 6,000 food baskets to Yemenis

ADEN, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Society for Relief on Saturday distributed 6,000 food baskets in four Yemeni governorates namely Aden, Taiz, Abyan and Al Hudaydah.
The aid is part of Kuwaiti relief campaign that has been providing such assistance war-affected Yemenis for six years.
During the launching ceremony, general coordinator of the relief committee Jamal Al-Faqih thanked Kuwait, His Highness the Amir and the government for their continued humanitarian effort and support to Yemenis.
He lauded the society's generous backing to all sectors, noting that this will contribute to improving living conditions of the displaced families in Yemen. (end)
