Kuwait- US, Brazil each record over 36,000 new coronavirus cases
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- The US and Brazil each recorded over 36,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours and at least 1,000 deaths.
According to Johns Hopkins University Wednesday, the US recorded 36,985آ new coronavirus cases andآ 1,077آ deaths.
The tally showed that the confirmed cases nationwide reachedآ 6,606,293آ and at least 195,937آ deaths.
Meanwhile, Brazil's health ministry reported 36,653 new coronavirus cases and 1,113 related deaths, bringing the countryآ's confirmed coronavirus cases to 4,382,263 and 133,119 deaths.
The US ranks first globally in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths whereas Brazil ranks second globally in the number of deaths and third after India in the confirmed coronavirus cases. (end)
