Pandemic harshly impacts Morocco

The health ministry of Morocco said that 2,251 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus, which has increased the total number of coronavirus cases across the country to 86,686 on Sunday.

Mouad Mrabet, coordinator of the Moroccan Center for Public Health Operations at the ministry, said that 1,661 more patients have recovered from the disease, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 67,528, as the total number of deaths stood at 1,578 following the additional death of 25 patients.

The coronavirus fatality rate in Morocco is now at 1.8 percent as the recovery rate is at 76 percent, as 266 patients are currently placed in intensive care units.

China has been aiding Morocco in its fight against the coronavirus.
