Somaliland planning minister revealed planned census at parliament in Hargeisa

Somalilandsun: The government of Somaliland has announced that it will conduct a census in the six capitals of the country's major regions.

The cost of implementing the census will be included in the budget of the planning ministry, in the 2020-2021 financial year the government said.
This was announced by the Minister of National Planning Hassan Gafaadi, who addressed the House of Representatives on the 10th Aug 2020.
Minister Gafaadhi, briefed the lawmakers on the ministry's activities and plans as per constitutional stipulations.

Though only Hargeisa, Borame, Berbera, Burao, Las Anod and Erigavo the regional capitals of the six officially gazetted regions were mentioned the census is propably countrywide
