Jordan Armed Forces send medical aid to Iraq


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 21 (Petra) Upon a directive by His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti ordered the dispatch of a medical aid convoy to Iraq, which recently saw a spike in coronavirus infections.
JAF Director of Defense Procurement, Brig. Hussam Haddad, said that the five-truck convoy is loaded with various made-in-Jordan medical supplies "to help the Iraqi brethren face the outbreak."
Iraqi ambassador Haidar Athari thanked Jordan for the support, noting that His Majesty offered the aid to the people of Iraq who suffered from difficult conditions.
