42 more patients succumb to COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia


(MENAFN) The combined tally of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Saudi Arabia has jumped to 232,259, after 2,779 more infections were reported over the last 24-hour period ending on Monday.

On a tweet posted on its official account on Twitter, the country"s Ministry of health revealed that the combined figure of patients who have won the battle against the merciless COVID-19 infection has jumped by 1,742 to 167,138, whereas in the meantime, a number of 42 more patients succumbed to the disease, lifting the national death toll to 2,223.

The ministerial figures also showed that the country has a total of 62,898 active cases by now, with 2,245 of them were reported as being in severe health condition.

Saudi Arabia and China have helped each other in battling against the COVID-19 pandemic.
