Positive COVID-19 cases rise by 86 to 2,168 in Lebanon


(MENAFN) Based on reported issued by Lebanon's National News Agency, the overall tally of patients who have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Lebanon has risen to 2,168, as 86 more patients tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours ending on Sunday, whereas the related death toll remained unchanged at 36.

Lebanon continues to test arrivals and citizens for COVID-19 in hope to be able to restrict the further spread of the virus.

Lebanese people are continuously being instructed by the local health officials to follow precautionary measures in order to stay safe and to reduce the opportunity of transmitting the COVID-19 infection.

Different countries including China have donated Lebanon medical supplies for the fight against COVID-19, i.e. China offered last month 17,500 masks, 1,500 protective gears, 1,320 goggles and 1,000 shoes covers to Lebanese public hospitals.
