Kuwaiti artists express devotion to Kuwait in lockdown works


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 2 (KUNA) -- Some Kuwaiti painters have invested time during the coronavirus-warranted lockdown, producing unique works that depicted their deep passion and devotion for the homeland, Kuwait.
Head of Kuwait Formative Arts Society Abdulrasoul Salman said in a statement on Saturday that painters of the association achieved remarkable works in their marathon isolation in their houses.
He called on others, namely the skilled citizens, to follow suit and invest the abundant free time indoor to make creative works and sharpen their skills on papers.
Salem Al-Kharji, a painter specialized in formative arts, said in a statement that the lockdown constituted an opportunity for artists to focus on creativity works at homes.
His peer Abdullah Al-Rashed said the society launched a campaign, titled "if you love Kuwait, draw at home," encouraging a large number of citizens to get engrossed in creative works, namely painting during their long stay in their houses.
Another, Abdullah Al-Otaibi, has affirmed that the lockdown is an opportunity for the youth to express their talents and fill the void of time.
Tahani Al-Kharafi expressed happiness for seeing increasing willingness among the Kuwaiti youngsters to partake in such activities.
Identical sentiments were expressed by the artists Mahmoud Al-Gattan and Amira Ashkanani. (end)
