0.44 percent rise in French stocks

French stocks posted increases on Monday, the benchmark Paris CAC 40 saw a rise of 0.44 percent, or 23.62 points, to set at a total of 5,333.52 points.

15 out of the 40 selected big companies posted rises in their shares prices in the day.

The best performance in the blue chips went to French multinational retailer Carrefour with its shares rising 4.12 percent, French personal care company LOreal followed with an increase of 2.70 percent and French international energy management specialist Schneider Electric rose 1.92 percent.

French car manufacturer Peugeot edged down 4.28 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational information technology consulting corporation Cap Gemini lost 3.73 percent. French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault shed 3.23 percent. Enditem

The worst blue chips performance went to Peugeot French car manufacturer with its shares losing 4.28 percent of value, Cap Gemini, a French multinational information technology consulting corporation, saw a decline of 3.73 percent and French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault lost 3.23 percent.
