Washington obstructs Tehran-Riyadh talks

(MENAFN) Dialogue between Tehran-Riyadh talks is being prevented by Washington according to Lebanese daily.

ISNA was cited by Al-Binaa newspaper as reporting a Saudi spokesperson assuring that talks between Iran and his country are believed to be impossible.

On Tuesday, ISNA recited that Lebanese and Yemeni crisis can be discussed among other issues in the hopefully fulfilled talks, according to the source.

Ahmad Dastmalchian, Iran's former ambassador to Lebanon said in a press interview on Monday "In my opinion, Saudi Arabia seeks to reduce tension with Iran, but the United States and the Zionist regime have prevented Saudi Arabia to implement this issue because their interests depend on a crisis among Iran and Arab brothers in the region."
