(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar's leading telecommunications company, Ooredoo, has celebrated the 2020 National Sport Day with a packed schedule of activities at MIA Park. Combined with a host of promotions, the festivities evoked a good response and marked a resounding success, according to a statement.
Ooredoo hosted a fun fitness day in the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park with a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities. The activities included ball games, team sports, individual activities and group exercise sessions.
Smartwatches and vouchers for Sports Corner were given away in the 2020 National Sport Day Quiz while customers were encouraged to get active with the Walk To Win promotion; reaching 10,000 steps meant they were rewarded with 2020MB data and a voucher for Sports Corner.
Customers were also given 500 Nojoom points free for scanning the special 2020 National Sport Day QR code hidden in the park.
Customers who took part in the quiz, walked to win and scanned the special QR code were given an extra 500 Nojoom points.
The 2020 National Sport Day quiz received more than 140,000 entries, while almost 2,000 customers scanned the special QR code and a total of almost 54,000,000 steps were taken by those attempting the Walk To Win challenge.
Speaking of the celebrations, chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani said that Ooredoo is delighted to see such an incredible turnout at MIA Park and to see so many citizens and residents of all ages enjoying the activities on offer.
