Coronavirus threat halts Panama national soccer Thailand fixture


(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Panama's national soccer team has canceled a fixture in  Thailand as a precaution against the coronavirus outbreak.

The team coach , Argentina's Américo Rubén 'Tolo' Gallego, said on Monday, February 10. "We are  not going to travel (to Thailand) and)  and  take unnecessary risks for the life of any of us

They are studying the possibility of meeting the Asian team at the end of next March.

"There is another rival from the area here with whom we are going to play," added Gallego,

The reds will prepare to face Nicaragua on February and for another friendly visitor match against Guatemala, on March 4.
