Police operations team arrests 10 suspects over robberies in Kabul

Afghanistan's Interior Ministry said on Sunday that within the past 24 hours, the country"s National Police operations team has detained 10 suspects from across Kabul.

In a statement, the ministry declared that the suspects were taken to the capital police headquarters after they have been involved in armed robberies and holding illegal weapons.

According to the statement "The suspects were taken to concerned departments for screening and possible legal process".

Amid the operation, a robbed vehicle and two pistols were seized by the police.

The ministry assured in his statement that the operations came amid protective measures adopted by the government to attain a high level of safety and security in the city, adding that when police forces arrested the suspects, no weapon was fired
