South Korea shares decrease

South Korean shares dropped more than 1 percent on Wednesday as worries rose over the Middle East disputes after reports that Iran fired multiple missiles at U.S. airbases in Iraq.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) decreased 24.23 points, or 1.11 percent, to end at 2,151.31 points. Trading volume stood came in at 900 million shares with a value of USD7.3 billion.

Most big stocks dropped, shares of the most-used search engine Naver lost 2.1 percent, and Hyundai Motor car manufacturer saw a drop of 3 percent in its shares, shares of Hyundai Mobis, auto car part maker lost 3 percent, and chemical firm LG Chem saw its shares drop 2.9 percent.

Samsung Electronics saw a rise of 1.8 percent in its shares, Memory chip giant SK Hynix shares increased 3.6 percent.
