Number of victims from Tunisia bus accident reaches 27


(MENAFN) The number of killed people from bus accident which took place on Sunday in northwestern Tunisia climbed to 27 as a young man succumbed to his injuries, the Tunisian Health Ministry emphasized on Tuesday.

Nineteen more injured people are still in hospital to receive the needed medical
treatment, including eight in serious condition, emphasized a ministry statement, adding that psychological counseling units were prepared to offer service to the relatives of victims in the provinces of Ben Arous, Tunis, Kef, Kasserine and Kairouan.

It is worth mentioning that a private travel agency bus careered into a ravine in the locality of Ain Snoussi, Beja province in northwestern Tunisia, on Sunday morning, after crashing through iron barriers.

As many as 22 passengers, who were all Tunisians, passed away instantly while the wounded people were rushed to local hospitals to receive the needed medical treatment.
