Nemat Abdallah Mohamed Khair takes constitutional oath


(MENAFN) On Sunday, Sudan's newly-appointed chief justice and attorney general made the constitutional oath before Chairman of the Sovereign Council Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.


The sovereign council said in a statement that, on Sunday evening, Nemat Abdallah Mohamed Khair made the constitutional oath as chief justice before Al-Burhan, whereas Taj Al-Sir Ali Al-Hebr made the oath as attorney general.


Some members of the sovereign council and secretary-general of the Presidency were in attendance at the oath-taking ceremony.


The sovereign council made a choice appointing Khair as the chief justice and Al-Hebr as the attorney general, on Oct. 10 and Khair is the first Sudanese female to assume the post.
