Israeli soldiers wounds 49 Palestinian protesters in Gaza
(MENAFN) On Friday, as many as 49 Palestinians were wounded as a result of clashes erupted between hundreds of Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers in the eastern Gaza Strip near the border with Israel, a local official emphasized.
The spokesperson if the Health Ministry in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qedra, informed reporters that at least 49 protesters were wounded, 14 of them are children.
The clashed erupted on Friday afternoon between the Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers as the demonstrators were taking part in the weekly anti-Israel demonstration which is better known as the Great March of Return.
The weekly marches demonstrations have been going on since March 30 of 2018, urging Israel to end over 12 years of a tight blockade on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.
