Bangladesh: Dengue fever deaths to increase


(MENAFN) Another 12 deaths from dengue fever were confirmed by Bangladeshi government increasing the totality of losses in the country since January to 93.


The deaths are, two in April, six in June, 34 in July, 47 in August and 4 in September, as said in a report of the country's Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday.


3,162 additional dengue deaths were recorded after 16,856 in September and 52,636 in August, which were over the sum number of patients in any past year, as said in the figure reported by the DGHS under the Ministry of Health On Oct. 1-10.


The number of patients was 10,148 previous year and 26 of them lost their lives; all dengue fever cases reported since the beginning of January up to now got to 91,115.
