Iran, Turkey explore USD30b trade target


(MENAFN) Iran was announced to have reviewed with Turkey means to achieve their USD30 billion mark in bilateral trade, saying that such a figure is likely to be secured regardless of U.S. sanctions.

Discussions were held during the 27th meeting of Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Committee of which Ankara hosted September 16-18.

Chief of staff of the Iranian president, Mahmoud Vaezi, highlighted the necessity of executing bilateral deals that were sealed between Iran and Turkey on trade and economy as well as boosting ties with Turkey on a range of areas.

Such a bilateral trade target is possible to achieve with the Turkish government determined to maintain relations with Iran, as affirmed Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez.
