Commodities prices drop in China

Chinese Logistics Information Center said that the average commodities price in China has dropped 2 percent in August from the last month, and 6 percent from the same period of the previous year.

The average price in the starting 8 months decreased 2.7 percent from the same time in the previous year, the drop was 0.6 percent more than that in January to July.


The center said that the downward pressure of the domestic economy was very apparent and the commodity market kept on being depressed in August.

The market demand did not meet expectations, due to high temperatures, rain and typhoons.
