Italy backs WHO medicine delivery to Libya
(MENAFN) The government of Italy lent a hand to the World Health Organization (WHO) in the delivery of medicines to hospitals in Libya.
In an online statement, WHO confirmed "this week, the World Health Organization is providing medicines and supplies to treat thousands of patients across Libya."
"Deliveries arrived today at Tripoli hospitals and clinics and were generously supported by the Italian government," WHO affirmed.
WHO revealed earlier that medicines were offered to Libyan hospitals with the backing of the German government and the U.S. Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.
