Turkish stock index looking up at open
(MENAFN) Turkey opened its Thursday trading session of the benchmark stock index with a 0.38 percent, or 389.67 points boost.
Starting the day at 102,311.82 points, the U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate climbed to stand at 5.7630 compared to Wednesday's closing at 5.7550.
Furthermore, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate registered a jump to reach 6.3510 on Thursday from the closing of 6.3290 a day earlier.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended the day on Wednesday with a 0.70 percent increase at 101,922.15 points, posting USD1.3 billion in the daily trading volume.
