5 dead in Nigeria building collapse

Nigerian local official said that 5 people died when 2 residential buildings tumbled down in two different locations in Jigawa.

Salisu Garba-Kubayo, head of the local government, said that the two accidents took place in the aftermath of strong rainfalls.

He said that 3 people from the same family died when their house fell down in Kuraduge village, as 2 others died as their building collapsed in Madachi village around the same area.

More than 30 villages in Kirikasamma had been affected by floods caused by the heavy rainfall.
