Grave robbers arrested in China

Chinese police have caught 29 people suspected of grave robbing in Anhui district in China, and recovered a large amount of valuable cultural relics.

The Police in Huainan city obtained a clue back in 2018, and later caught the grave robbing suspects that had robbed an old grave dating back to the Warring States period three times.

Li Anlin, deputy mayor of Huainan and head of the city's public security bureau, said that 75 relicts were recovered, 26 of which are classified as national grade one artifacts.

The police confiscated about 40 kg of explosives and 15 detonators along with some grave robbing tools.
