The National Transport Company of Oman (Mwasalat) has won an international recognition in the 'Excellence in Marketing' category at the International Association of Public Transport's (UITP) Global Public Transport Summit, in Sweden, Stockholm.
Sultanate's Public Transport Strategic Plan stood out of 300 participants from the Middle East and North Africa.
The winning project discussed the means and marketing presentations used by the company in building a new culture for the use of public transport in the sultanate and the mechanism to encourage everyone to ride buses, especially citizens.
The project also explained the services and techniques that the company seeks to develop and how to market them to attract more users. It also focused on developing strategies that focus on improving customer service, responding to and promoting their needs.
