Qatar- PM takes part in Makkah emergency summit

Makkah, Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani participated with Their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders and delegation heads of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States in the opening session of the Emergency GCC Summit, which was held yesterday at Al Safa Palace in Makkah.

The session was attended by Their Excellences members of the official delegation accompanying His Excellency.Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived yesterday in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, H E the Prime Minister was received upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr Abdullatif Rashid Al Zayani, and Mayor of Jeddah Saleh Al Turki.

His Excellency was accompanied by an official delegation.

Meanwhile, the Amir of the State of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah met, at his stay in Al Diyafa Palace, with His Excellency.

At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister conveyed the greetings of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his good wishes to H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and to the people of Kuwait continued progress and prosperity.

Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, arrived yesterday in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries and the most important topics on the agenda of the emergency summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab emergency summit and the 14th session of the Islamic Summit Conference in Makkah.

The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzooq Ali Al Ghanim, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Minister of Finance Dr Nayef Al Hajraf, and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of Municipal Affairs Fahad Al Shula. The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo also met, at his stay in Al Diyafa Palace, with H E the Prime Minister.

His Excellency conveyed the greetings of H H the Amir and his wishes to the President of Somalia and to the people of Somalia continued progress and prosperity.

For his part, the President of Somalia entrusted His Excellency to convey his greetings to H H the Amir and to the Qatari people further prosperity and development.
