(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, May 30 (KUNA) -- Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani signed into law on Thursday a bill to establish a media city to realize professional integration among all major projects in the country.
Under Act No 13, for 2019, the Media City has an artificial personality and independent budget; it will act within the parameters to be laid down by the cabinet, according to Qatar news agency.
The City aims to enhance Qatar's presence on the international media arena and attract leading companies and institutions in the areas of digital media, technology, research and training. (end)
