Int'l trade volume in Egypt hits USD47.7b


(MENAFN) Egypt recorded a surge in the volume of its international trade during the first half of the 2018-19 fiscal year to stand at USD47.7 billion.

In a report, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) confirmed that this comes in comparison to the USD42.85 billion of global trade volume registered in the past year.

During the first half, Egypt generated USD8.4 billion with China in their trade volume from the USD7.5 billion posted during the same period a year ago.

Meanwhile, trade volume between Egypt and the United States reached USD3 billion during the same period.
