17 dead, 37 wounded in mosque attack in Afghanistan


(MENAFN) Local officials declared that over 17 people have died as another 37 were injured in a blat at a mosque in the Afghan province of Khost.

A crowd has gathered for afternoon prayers at the mosque, which was also a registration center point for voters.

Some of the wounded are believed to be in serious state.

No accusations have been raised against any group, however, the Islamic State group is active in such areas.
