Terrorist attack strikes Mogadishu


(MENAFN) Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, was hit with a massive blast after the detonation of a bomb in a vehicle Sunday evening.

Speaking to Xinhua, a police officer confirmed that the attack struck in close proximity to El-Gabta junction in Hamarweyne district.

According to the officer, "so far we know that the car was parked near El-Gabta junction. We will establish more details on the incident."

In Hamarweyne district, a massive explosion was heard but there are no reports of any fatalities, resident Liban Farah revealed.
