9 suspected dead in plane crash in US


(MENAFN) Officials declared that nine people are feared dead after an army jet plunged in the US state of Georgia.

They were all passengers on the C-130 plane when it fell beside a highway intersection close to the local airport in the coastal city of Savannah.

The National Guard confirmed that the Puerto Rico Air National Guard jet has been on a training trip when it crashed.

Maj Paul Dahlen, Puerto Rico National Guard spokesman announced, "We've confirmed nine people, consisting of five crew members and four additional passengers".
