QIMC aims to promote industries at Project Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Co (QIMC) is participating in Project Qatar 2019, taking place at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The QIMC pavilion includes stands for its sister companies and subsidiaries including Qatar Aluminium Extrusion Co, Qatar Plastic Products Co, Amiantit Qatar Pipes Co Ltd, Qatar Wood Products Co and Qatar Paving Stones.
CEO Abdulrahman al-Ansari said: 'QIMC's participation at Project Qatar 2019 reflects its strategy to support national exhibitions and events that highlight the role of national entities in supporting our national economy, and also demonstrated the capabilities of Qatar. Our pavilion in the exhibition embraces many subsidiaries and sister companies which are supplying our market with high quality products and effectively contributing in the economic development.
QIMC participation at national and international fairs aims to promote its industries before international audience and familiarise the global community with investment opportunities across its businesses. Through its subsidiaries, QIMC supplies the local market with required industrial products to maintain Qatar's self-sufficiency and start exporting to outside markets. It also demonstrates the company's commitment to economic development and diversifications as stated in Qatar National Vision 2030.
QIMC was established with 20%:80% government-private equity interests respectively and became one of the pioneers in the field of small and medium scale industries in the country.
Currently, QIMC has equity interest in 20 operational projects in various industrial sectors including chemicals, petrochemicals, construction materials and food processing. QIMC is also currently investigating the economic feasibility of several other projects in collaboration with local and foreign interested parties.
