Turkish attack on northern Syria: 10 people killed, 25 wounded


(MENAFN) Ten people of which mostly were civilians were killed on Saturday following a Turkish attack in the Afrin region of northern Syria, according to a spokesman for the Kurdish militia.

A spokesman for the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in Afrin said "seven civilians were killed, including a child, as well as two female fighters and one male fighter."

"The child was an eight year-old boy," he added.

Moreover, 25 civilians had been wounded following the Turkish bombing, The YPG's political branch, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) said.
