Square and Facebook Hiring Positions with Blockchain Experience, Binance Participating in First Real Estate Auction with Crypto and Huobi Launches Prime Platform Stocks discussed: (NYSE:SQ) (NasdaqGS:FB)
Payments platform Square, Inc. ( NYSE:SQ ) is hiring employees with experience in the crypto space. According to a tweet from Square and Twitter ( NYSE:TWTR ) CEO Jack Dorsey, the firm is willing to pay employees in bitcoin ( BTC ). The tweet reads:
#BitcoinTwitter and #CryptoTwitter! Square is hiring 3-4 crypto engineers and 1 designer to work full-time on open source contributions to the bitcoin/crypto ecosystem. Work from anywhere, report directly to me, and we can even pay you in bitcoin! Introducing @SqCrypto .
Also hiring is Facebook, ( NasdaqGS:FB ) which posted a job ad for a legal counsel with experience in blockchain. According to the ad, the company seeks:
"...a flexible, diligent, proactive, team player to serve as Lead Commercial Counsel to support its new initiative in the development of blockchain applications. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts related our blockchain initiatives, including partnerships needed to launch new products and expand such products internationally. You will also advise clients on the various legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to commercial transactions and general operations. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work at the forefront of helping to deliver new technologies around the world."
Crypto exchange giant Binance will be participating in an online auction for a house in Australia, according to a tweet from company CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ). The auction will be done in collaboration with James Pratt Auctions and Advisory Service, and will accept payment in Bitcoin or Binance Coin ( BNB ).
Crypto exchange Huobi is launching the Huobi Prime platform, which ensures immediate deposits of cryptocurrencies into user accounts and instant tradeability against the platform's native currency, Huobi Token (HT). Ross Zhang, head of marketing for Huobi Group, told CCN :
Low-quality coins and lack of access to ones with real potential are a perennial problem in the crypto space. While that is nothing new, I do think it's taken on new importance in the ongoing bear market we find ourselves in. A lot of people in the space have been burned by coin projects that basically evaporated. As a result, I think the crypto investment and trading community is looking for something better when it comes to premium digital assets. This is the core problem we look to solve for people with Huobi Prime.
