India- A new online facility to obtain import license for restricted items
New Delhi, Mar 16 (KNN) A new online facility has been provided by the government to obtain import license for restricted items from March 18, 2019, according to the notification by Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
The notification said, 'DGFT notifies revised pro-forma (Ayat Niryat Form (ANF)-2M) for submission of online application for obtaining import license for ‘Restricted' items from March 18, 2019 onwards.
All applicants (individuals, corporate or State/Central entities) are required to use this online facility for filing applications and no application will be accepted in offline mode.
Importer Exporter Code Number (IEC) is essential for this online module, the entities not having an IEC, may use the relevant IEC no. as per the Annexure-I.
IEC Code is unique 10 digit code issued by DGFT, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to Indian Companies. (KNN/JM)
