Kuwaiti, Egyptian parl't speakers discuss mutual coordination

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, March 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim held a meeting on Thursday with his Egyptian counterpart Ali Abdelal, and the two sides discussed coordination on the main issues.

During the meeting, the two speakers coordinated stances of the main issues and dossiers expected to be discussed during the 14th conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Member States (PUIC) due in Morocco on March 11-14.

They mulled mobilizing Arab and Muslim efforts to support the Arab and Muslim nations' issues that can be highlighted in the next conference of Inter-Parliamentary Union due in Qatar in April.

The Palestinian cause is on the top of these issues planned to be tackled during the conference.

The two officials stressed the importance of joint action, coordinating stances and unifying views towards these dossiers to be in favor of the interest of Arab issues. (end) msh.hm
