EU backs Moroccan migration control majorly


(MENAFN) Morocco received over a period of five years USD262 million of investments from the European Union (EU) for the country's immigration control.

The European Commission granted Morocco by the end of last year financial support to help its border management and budget.

Morocco, the Commission affirmed, is currently making efforts to build up its border management as it avoided several incidents.

Interior Ministry in Morocco confirmed that the country was able to stop 88,761 migrants from departure last year alone.
